Soap Pod or Shikakai is a herb native to warm regions of Asia. This herb has been used for the treatment of hair care, especially dandruff and itching of the scalp. At present, Soap Pod is used in the manufacturing of different shampoos. Shikakai is considered an excellent scalp cleanser. Soap Pod contains astringent properties and for this, the leaves and pods of Shikakai are used to treat open wounds and oral diseases.
