The detoxified nut is acrid, antiarthritic, antiinflammatory, aphrodisiac, appetiser, astringent, bitter, cardiotonic, carminative, depurative, digestive, emollient, expectorant, febrifuge, liver tonic, nervine tonic, purgative, rejuvenative, stimulant, sweet and thermogenic.
